    Comments

In the sculptural and plastic oeuvre of Wilhelm Lehmbruck, the human nude forms a central theme, which the artist also translated into fine etchings with modifications. These printmaking works, mostly created between 1912 and 1915, in turn reflect the melancholic, elongated formal language of his sculptures and masterfully demonstrate the use of drypoint technique for clear lines.
