Comments

The drawing is closely related to the oil painting "Artistin / Marcella" from 1910 (Gordon 125), in which the girl is depicted wearing a black and yellow leotard and red slippers. It is assumed that the depicted figure is Marcella, who, together with Fränzi, posed as a model for the Brücke artists in the summer of 1910.

Erläuterungen

Die Zeichnung steht im engen Zusammenhang mit dem Ölgemälde "Artistin / Marcella" aus dem Jahr 1910 (Gordon 125), auf dem das Mädchen mit schwarz-gelbem Tricot und roten Pantoffeln dargestellt wird. Es wird angenommen, dass es sich bei der Dargestellten um Marcella handelt, die zusammen mit Fränzi im Sommer 1910 den Brücke-Künstlern Modell stand.
