    Comments

Ann Hamilton initially studied textile art, as well as sculpture. For the present artworks, Hamilton first created models from non-hardening, sulfur-free plasticine, from which a latex mold and wax casts were then made to prepare for the lost-wax casting process. All parts of the series were cast from the steel alloy 8620, with the rusting process accelerated by a bath in hydrochloric acid.
