Condition

The outermost margins slightly compressed, with occasional grip marks. With printing marks at the sides, there also with two small punctures. Overall fresh in colour and in good condition

Comments

Unsigned trial proof marked with printer's marks, probably created with regard to the suite. "Daphnis et Chloé" is, with a total of 42 colour lithographs, one of the artist's most fascinating book projects. In addition to the prints for the book edition, 60 suites with the individual, signed prints were published.

Die äussersten Ränder minim gestaucht, mit vereinzelten Griffknicken. Mit Druckmarkierungen an den Seiten, dort auch mit zwei kleinen Löchlein. Insgesamt farbfrisch und in guter Erhaltung

Erläuterungen

Unsignierter, mit Druckmarkierungen gekennzeichneter Probedruck, wohl im Hinblick auf die Suite geschaffen. "Daphnis et Chloé" zählt mit insgesamt 42 Farblithografien zu den faszinierendsten Buchprojekten des Künstlers. Neben den Blättern für die Buchausgabe erschienen 60 Suiten mit den einzelnen, signierten Drucken.
