This work was created in connection with Buthe’s intensive engagement with everyday objects and ritual materials. The incorporation of found objects and organic materials in combination with wax as an alchemical medium is characteristic of Buthe’s entire oeuvre and links his work to the spirit of Arte Povera as well as German Informel. The seemingly casual use of candy wrappers and natural materials documents the dissolution of the boundary between art and lived experience that is typical for Buthe.

Diese Arbeit entstand im Zusammenhang mit Buthes intensiver Beschäftigung mit Alltagsobjekten und Ritualmaterialien. Die Einbeziehung von Fundstücken und organischen Materialien in Verbindung mit Wachs als alchemistischem Medium ist bezeichnend für Buthes gesamtes Schaffen und verbindet sein Werk mit dem Geist der Arte Povera sowie dem deutschen Informel. Die scheinbar beiläufige Verwendung von Konfektverpackung und Naturmaterial dokumentiert die für Buthe typische Aufhebung der Grenze zwischen Kunst und gelebter Erfahrung.
