    Comments

A surrealist and colour-intensive interpretation of the drama "Ubu Roi" by Alfred Jarry, first performed in 1896. The protagonist Père Ubu appears as a power-obsessed figure marked by cunning and deceit. Other modern artists such as Max Ernst, Man Ray, and Pablo Picasso, as well as Joan Miró, were also fascinated by the figure of Père Ubu and incorporated it into their work.
