The present book belongs to the renowned publication series "Les grands peintres d'aujourd'hui", published by Éditions Cahiers d'Art in Paris, which focuses on modern artists. It is dedicated to Wassily Kandinsky and contains a text by the important art historian and critic Will Grohmann as well as numerous illustrations of his works. The publication is present here in the extremely rare special edition, limited to only 16 copies, which includes both a drawing and an etching. The first eight copies include a gouache as an original supplement, while numbers 9 to 16 include a drawing. In total, the print appeared in 40 copies for this book edition.

Das vorliegende Buch gehört zur renommierten Publikationsreihe "Les grands peintres d'aujourd'hui", die vom Verlag Éditions Cahiers d'Art in Paris herausgegeben wurde und Künstler der Moderne in den Mittelpunkt stellt.
