    Comments

The complete five years in 21 issues, from the "Allgemeinen Ausgabe" of 1500 copies. A total of 234 plates and 110 original graphic works are included. The editorial responsibility was with Otto Julius Bierbaum and Julius Meier-Graefe (from issue 3 Richard Graul and Cäsar Flaischlen, later Cäsar Flaischlen alone). Numerous letters from Julius Meier-Graefe are attached to the first book.

The exclusive art magazine PAN is still considered the voice of Jugendstil to this day. It contains important works from the late 19th century, including works by Félix Vallotton, Paul Signac, and Auguste Rodin. The most prominent print is certainly the colour lithograph "Mademoiselle Marcelle Lender, en buste" by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Wittrock 99/IV), which is found in the 3rd issue of the 1st volume.
