A very beautiful painting on paper created in Santa Monica from the "Grids" series, wonderfully executed with drippings. In the 1970s, Sam Francis developed a new form of expression with his grid paintings – the present work is executed in delicate colours and density.

Erläuterungen

Eine sehr schöne in Santa Monica entstandene Malerei auf Papier aus der Serie der "Grids", wunderbar mit Drippings ausgearbeitet. Sam Francis entwickelte in den 1970er-Jahren mit seinen Gitterbildern eine neue Ausdrucksform - die vorliegende Arbeit ist in zarter Farbigkeit und Dichte ausgearbeitet.
