    Comments

    From 1927 onwards, Christian Rohlfs spent several months each year in Ascona and, from 1929, rented an apartment in the Casa Margot on the lakeshore. Numerous works were created there, including depictions of the plants growing in the garden of his house.

    Erläuterungen

    Christian Rohlfs hielt sich ab 1927 alljährlich für mehrere Monate in Ascona auf und mietete ab 1929 eine Wohnung in der Casa Margot am Seeufer. Dort entstanden zahlreiche seiner Werke, unter anderem Darstellungen der im Garten seines Hauses wachsenden Pflanzen.
