Comments

The most important illustrated work by the artist, for which he created both the text and all the illustrations. With "Paris sans fin", Giacometti produced a fascinating picture book about Paris, based on impressions he gathered during countless wanderings through the city from 1958 to 1965. Unfortunately, the text remained unfinished. Due to the sudden death of the artist in January 1966, the work was published posthumously in 1969.

Das wichtigste illustrierte Werk des Künstlers, zu dem er den Text und alle Illustrationen schuf. Mit "Paris sans fin" gelang Giacometti ein faszinierendes Bilderbuch über Paris, das auf Eindrücken beruht, die er auf unzähligen Streifzügen durch die Stadt in den Jahren von 1958 bis 1965 gesammelt hatte. Der Text blieb leider unvollendet. Bedingt durch den plötzlichen Tod des Künstlers im Januar 1966 erfolgte die Publikation des Werkes posthum im Jahr 1969.
