    Comments

Arnold Brügger was from Meiringen. During his studies at the School of Applied Arts in Bern, he became friends with the painter Otto Morach (1887-1973). A stay in Berlin also brought him into contact with the works of the artist group "Die Brücke", which had a lasting influence on his work. Regardless of international influences, Brügger remained closely connected to his homeland in the Bernese Oberland, whose landscape left a lasting mark on his work.
