Verso with a study fragment of a portrait of Giacometti's mother (bridge of the nose, nose and right eye). With small studio traces and a few grip creases. Verso with traces of old mounting. In very good condition
The drawing was created in the summer of 1960 during Giacometti's stay in Stampa. In the foreground, a bench with an owl motif can be seen in front of a chest in a room of the family home.
