Comments

One of the known impressions notes on the back that the young woman depicted is the painter Tupsy Jebe (actually Martha Caroline Clement, née Jebe). The male profile below is said to represent Munch, drawn onto the plate by Tupsy. However, this cannot be verified.

Erläuterungen

Auf einem der bekannten Abzüge steht hinten, dass die dargestellte junge Frau die Malerin Tupsy Jebe (eigentlich Martha Caroline Clement, geborene Jebe) sei. Das Männerprofil unten soll Munch selbst darstellen, von Tupsy auf die Platte gezeichnet. Dies lässt sich jedoch nicht verifizieren.
