Very fine black impression rich with burr. Minimal light-struck area. In very fine condition
Munch captured himself and his surroundings in Kristiania (present-day Oslo). The artist is shown in profile at the far left, and further along, probably a student named Holmsen and the Norwegian writer Axel Maurer (1866-1925) can be seen. He revisited this theme once more (see lot 767).

Sehr schöner schwarzer, gratiger Druck. Minimer Lichtrand. In sehr schöner Erhaltung
Munch hat sich und sein Umfeld in Kristiania (heute Oslo) festgehalten. Der Künstler im Profil ganz links, weiter sind wohl ein Student namens Holmsen und der norwegische Schriftsteller Axel Maurer (1866-1925) zu sehen. Dieses Thema hat er noch einmal aufgenommen (vgl. Los 767).
