    Comments

Eva Aeppli’s textile figures captivate with their striking presence. The "Puppe" shown here is part of the ensemble "Groupe de 12". Originally, the figures were mostly presented as a multipart work, but were later sold individually. Early on, this example was exhibited on an old, worn English leather armchair. The rare, life-sized fabric figures are among the most important works in the artist’s sculptural oeuvre.
