    Comments

According to Jean-Christoph Ammann, the present watercolour belongs to the fourth period in the work of Louis Moilliet. After 1936, he no longer created new watercolours, but instead reworked numerous earlier compositions. This could explain the date of 1944. The village view with the various houses and roofs can actually be classified in the artist's work more in the Spanish Caldetas than in Morocco.
