    Slightly faded. The lower corners left and right with old creases. Few traces of rubbing. Verso with traces of old mounting. In very good condition

    Comments

    The present still life is inspired by the painting "Nature morte Léonce Rosenberg 1ère Version" from 1921 (CR 23). At various times, Le Corbusier repeatedly returned to subjects he had already addressed earlier. This is also how the dating is to be understood: in 1921 he created a composition with this content for the first time, and in 1959 the present collage was made.

    Erläuterungen

    Das vorliegende Stillleben ist von dem Gemälde "Nature morte Léonce Rosenberg 1ère Version" von 1921 (WVZ 23) inspiriert. Le Corbusier nahm zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten immer wieder Sujets auf, die er früher bereits behandelt hatte. So ist auch die Datierung zu verstehen: 1921 schuf er das erste Mal eine Komposition mit diesem Inhalt, 1959 entstand die vorliegende Collage.
