    Comments

The important German Surrealist Max Ernst is known for his restless experimentation with new techniques. In the present collage the artist has arranged image fragments in an order that defies rational comprehension. For the artist the destruction of natural appearances on paper is the gateway to imagination. His artistic figures are a combination of the most diverse design elements and reveal in an impressive way a hidden and largely personally shaped dream world. Our slender vertical format is a fine example of this.
