Forged and welded iron on a wooden base. With black, slightly rubbed patina. In very good condition

Comments

A typical, thin-shelled iron sculpture from Wiggli's early creative period at the end of the 1950s. It probably depicts a raven. As Wiggli himself did not want to influence the interpretation of his works, he dispensed with informative titles and contented himself with work numbers, as in the case of the work offered here: "12 K".

Erläuterungen

Eine typische, dünnschalige Eisenplastik aus Wigglis früher Schaffensperiode Ende der 1950er-Jahre. Dargestellt ist wohl ein Rabe. Da Wiggli selbst der Deutung seiner Werke keine Richtung vorgab, verzichtete er auf informative Titel und begnügte sich mit Werknummern, wie bei der hier angebotenen Arbeit: "12 K".
