Circa 1971
Plastic, coloured, on a black wooden base
27 cm, height; 32.5 cm height with plinth
Inscribed "IFA" by the artist on the front
Private collection Switzerland
Plastic figure mounted on a wooden base (5.5x19.5x17 cm). Minimally rubbed, small cracks and colour defects as well as studio traces. In very good condition
This sculpture was at the centre of Moser's work from 1968 to 1978. In Switzerland and France he received commissions for large, colourful, walk-in sculptures made of plastic, such as the "Blaue Brunnen" in Zurich Oerlikon in 1975, a highlight of his three-dimensional work. The artist called these sculptures "farbige, dreidimensional begehbare Bilder". The small-format works often served Moser as models for works on a larger scale. It is not known whether the present sculpture was executed in an enlarged form. The designation "IFA" does not refer to the content of the present sculpture; it was purely formal considerations that prompted the artist to use these letters. Letters or even numbers are repeatedly found in this function in Moser's sculptures (see Felix Baumann, Moser, Zurich 1979, p. 57 ff).

In sehr guter Erhaltung
