Impeccable condition
Édouard Vuillard, who was best known for his Parisian subjects, also liked to travel to Normandy. From 1901, he often spent the summer in Vasouy, a small village near Honfleur, where the Seine flows into the English Channel. He found numerous motifs there, which he often painted on cardboard. On rare occasions, he created landscapes on paper, which he then fixed onto cardboard or canvas with an adhesive.
