Condition

Each with a pinhole in the corners, on the reverse with traces of an old mount and mounted on wove paper on card. Each with a pinhole in the corners. Both works slightly faded, in good condition

Comments

The two exceptionally large-format watercolours were created in 1931 during a visit by the artist to his brother Paul Meyer in Laupen. They are in subtle pastel colours.

Zustand

In den Ecken mit je einem Reissnagelloch, rückseitig mit Spuren einer alten Montierung bzw. auf Velin auf Karton montiert. In den Ecken mit je einem Reisnagelloch. Beide Werke leicht verblasst, in guter Erhaltung

Erläuterungen

Die beiden aussergewöhnlich grossformatigen Aquarelle entstanden 1931 während eines Besuchs des Künstlers bei seinem Bruder Paul Meyer in Laupen. Sie sind in feinen Pastellfarbtönen gehalten.
