    Comments

Drawings that Kirchner had created during his stay at the Dr Oskar Kohnstamm Sanatorium in Königstein im Taunus may have served as inspiration and models. Kirchner was a patient in Königstein three times between December 1915 and July 1916. He painted two portraits of Fanny Wocke. The first sheet (Gercken 812) shows Fanny's face in profile.

Rare print, only seven copies are known to Gercken.
