The watercolour was probably created in 1907 as part of the illustrations for Daniel Baud-Bovy's novel "Vacances d'Artistes". Another view of the church was published in the book in 1909.

Das Aquarell ist wohl 1907 im Rahmen der Illustrationen zu Daniel Baud-Bovys Roman "Vacances d’Artistes" entstanden. Eine andere Ansicht der Kirche wurde im Buch 1909 publiziert.
