The Lunghin Pass connects the Upper Engadine with Bivio and via the Septimer Pass to the Bregaglia Valley. At the top of the pass is the most important watershed in Europe, where the watersheds of the three main oceans surrounding Europe meet: the Rhine to the Atlantic in the north, the Maira via Lake Como and the Po to the Mediterranean in the south, and the Inn via the Danube to the Black Sea in the east. This work shows the top of the pass with a military manoeuvre and the prominent Piz Lunghin in the background.
