Left margin with losses and a small hole in the centre of the upper margin, a small tear in the lower margin. With slight creasing and foxing. Otherwise in good condition
Alberto Giacometti drew the present nude analytically by structuring it with lines and surfaces to create a spatial structure. The organic curves of the body were broken down into geometric surfaces so that the mass of the body appears crystalline and the figure almost abstract. Giacometti was interested in analysing the dimensions and proportions of a figure standing in space (Meyer, p. 10 f.).

Den vorliegenden Akt zeichnete Alberto Giacometti analytisch, indem er ihn mit Linien und Flächen zu einem räumlichen Gebilde strukturierte. Die organischen Rundungen des Körpers wurden in geometrische Flächen zerlegt, sodass die Körpermasse kristallin und die Figur fast abstrakt erscheint. Giacometti ging es um die Auseinandersetzung mit den Dimensionen und Proportionen einer im Raum stehenden Figur (Meyer, S. 10f.).
