Colourful interpretative lithograph by Charles Sorlier for Marc Chagall, based on the left part of a double-page original lithograph from the illustrated book "Longus. Daphnis et Chloé" (cf. Mourlot 341). The motif was used as a poster with lettering for the exhibition "Hommage à Tériade" at the Grand Palais, Paris, in 1973. In addition to an edition of 75 copies without text, there are several artist's copies. They were printed by Mourlot, Paris.

Unten rechts vom Künstler in Bleistift signiert "Marc Chagall", links als "Epreuve d'artiste" bezeichnet. In der Darstellung unten links mit der gedruckten Signatur "Chagall Marc", rechts mit der Bezeichnung "CH. SORLIER GRAV."

Farbenprächtige Interpretationslithographie, die Charles Sorlier für Marc Chagall in Anlehnung an den linken Teil einer doppelseitigen Originallithographie aus dem illustrierten Buch "Longus. Daphnis et Chloé" realisiert hat (vgl. Mourlot 341). Als Plakat mit Schrift wurde das Motiv für die Ausstellung "Hommage à Tériade" im Grand Palais, Paris, 1973 verwendet. Neben einer Auflage von 75 Exemplaren ohne Text existieren einige Künstlerexemplare. Gedruckt wurden sie von Mourlot, Paris.
