Print in olive green on similijapan, before the lettering. In the upper left corner with a small fold, with creases in the handle and a little bit foxed. At the back side with traces of an old mounting. In good condition

In the summer of 1895, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, accompanied by Maurice Guibert, wanted to travel on board the steamer "Le Chili" from Le Havre to Bordeaux. During the journey, he discovered an unknown young fellow passenger who was accommodated in cabin no. 54. Her beauty fascinated the artist so much that, instead of only travelling as far as Bordeaux, he disembarked in Lisbon.

Im Sommer 1895 wollte Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in Begleitung von Maurice Guibert an Bord des Dampfers "Le Chili" von Le Havre nach Bordeaux reisen. Während der Fahrt entdeckte er eine unbekannte junge Mitreisende, welche in der Kabine Nr. 54 untergebracht war. Ihre Schönheit faszinierte den Künstler so sehr, dass er, anstelle nur bis nach Bordeaux zu fahren, erst in Lissabon von Bord ging
