    Condition

    On stretcher, in frame. With early shrinkage cracks, mainly in the black, as well as single craquelure. Overall fresh in colour and in good condition.

    Comments

    Colour-intensive work with good provenance from an important creative phase of the artist: Singier, who belonged to the École de Paris, was a participant in documenta 1 in Kassel in 1955 and his works were subsequently shown at biennials and exhibitions throughout Europe, including at the Kestner-Gesellschaft in Hanover in 1957.
