Wooden panel in very good condition and with fresh in colours painting in oil. In places with an irregularly applied varnish and in the upper part of the work with smaller scratches.
The panel probably originally served as a cupboard door decoration for a piece of furniture, most of which were made by Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940), the brother of Segantini's life partner Luigia Bugatti (1863-1938), called Bice. Segantini met Carlo Bugatti at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and maintained a lifelong friendship with him.
