In the summer of 1959, Picasso took up again a subject that had fascinated him all his life - his first painting with this theme can be dated 1889/90 -: bullfighting. That year he published "Tauromaquia" and created various ceramics on this theme. It was therefore obvious that he also dealt with it in linocut. - From the edition of the Galerie Louise Leiris, Paris, from 1960
