Comments

At the end of 1959 Picasso created a series of linocuts with various bacchanals. The present work is captivating due to a certain monochromatic quality and the original detail at the top of the image that gives it its title. - One of the approx. 20 copies that were destined for the artist and publisher outside the numbered edition

Erläuterungen

Ende 1959 schuf Picasso eine Reihe von Linolschnitten mit verschiedenen Bacchanalen. Die vorliegende Arbeit besticht durch eine gewisse Monochromie und durch das originelle titelgebende Detail am oberen Rand der Darstellung. - Eines der ca. 20 Exemplare, die ausserhalb der nummerierten Auflage für Künstler und Verleger bestimmt waren
