On wove paper (papier vélin), with watermark "ARCHES", with margin. Slightly browned and with lightstruck. Single handling creases and a professionally backed tear at centre left. Single stains in the paper

Comments

At the top left, the words "Lacourière" can be read in mirror image, suggesting the use of the reverse of a copper plate. The front was used by Aldo Crommelynck in the Atelier Lacourière for an illustration of a work by Van Gogh

Oben links ist spiegelverkehrt der Schriftzug "Lacourière" zu lesen, was auf die Verwendung der Rückseite einer Kupferplatte schliessen lässt. Die Vorderseite wurde von Aldo Crommelynck im Atelier Lacourière für eine Abbildung eines Werkes von Van Gogh verwendet
