On cream wove paper (papier vélin), with irregular margins at top and left. On the left with pen-and-ink strokes. On the reverse with handwritten notes by Bruno Giacometti, the artist's brother. In perfect condition
In this work, Alberto portrayed his wife Annette Arm (1923-1993), whom he had met in Geneva during the war in 1943 and married in Paris in 1949. Together with his brother Diego, she was his most important model. On the reverse of the sheet is a sketch of a copy of the Apocalypse by Albrecht Dürer.

Auf cremefarbenem Velin, links und oben mit unregelmässigen Rändern. Links mit Strichen in Feder in Tinte. Rückseitig mit handschriftlichen Notizen von Bruno Giacometti, dem Bruder des Künstlers. In tadelloser Erhaltung
Alberto porträtierte auf dieser Arbeit seine Frau Annette Arm (1923-1993), welche er 1943 während des Krieges in Genf kennengelernt und 1949 in Paris geheiratet hatte. Sie war nebst seinem Bruder Diego sein wichtigstes Modell. Auf der Rückseite des Blattes findet sich eine Skizze einer Kopie nach der Apokalypse von Albrecht Dürer
