From the edition of not more than forty printed copies. - The Fei banana (Musa troglodytarum) is found on islands in the Pacific Ocean, on the Moluccas and in Papua New Guinea. It is rarely eaten raw, more often cooked, as it becomes more aromatic when boiled or fried. The fruits are orange to copper or red in colour, the flesh is yellow or orange.

Aus der Auflage von nicht mehr als vierzig gedruckten Exemplaren. - Die Fei-Banane (Musa troglodytarum) kommt auf Inseln im Pazifischen Ozean, auf den Molukken und in Papua-Neuguinea vor. Selten wird sie roh, öfters gegart gegessen, da sie durch das Kochen oder Braten aromatischer wird. Die Früchte sind orange bis kupferfarben oder rot gefärbt, das Fruchtfleisch ist gelb oder orange
