Starting with the play of light from a hanging lamp, Picasso began a series of linocuts in March 1962, which he revised several times. Charming still lifes were created. Here is a magnificent, complex representation with numerous colours and nuances. A technical tour de force in the collaboration between the artist and the printer Hidalgo Arnéra; printed in six colours from two plates. This print is certainly one of the masterpieces of the artist's graphic work.
