Hanni Miller and Anna Amiet are depicted at the piano, which Amiet confirms by naming each chair. Hanni (1889-1957) is the daughter of the Solothurn collector Oscar Miller, who was a great patron and close friend of Amiet. On the reverse Amiet later dedicated the drawing to Hanni's son, Ulrich Blass: "To dear Utz Blass / one he knows and one / he shall soon get to know /. / Oschwand C. and A. Amiet"

Oschwand C. u. A. Amiet"
