In his first creative phase in Amden, he often dealt with male nudes performing spinning dance movements. He lived in the village above Lake Walen until 1928 and from then on took the name of the village as a suffix to his name

In seiner ersten Schaffensphase in Amden beschäftigte er sich häufig mit männlichen Akten, die drehende Tanzbewegungen ausführen. Er lebte in der Ortschaft oberhalb des Walensees bis 1928 und nahm den Ortsnamen fortan als Namenszusatz auf
