The art historian Konrad Lemmer founded the Rembrandt-Verlag in Berlin-Zehlendorf in the autumn of 1923 and published large-format portfolios on contemporary art (such as Corinth, Kubin, Liebermann or Zille). One of his first art books was a volume entitled "Die Zeichner des Volks" (The Draughtsmen of the People), which focused on the work of Kollwitz and Zille. He was in contact with many artists of the time

b) Letter from the Lord Mayor of Berlin thanking him for the publication, dated 2 February 1925, signed "Böss". Size 26x21,8 cm

Der Kunsthistoriker Konrad Lemmer gründete im Herbst 1923 den Rembrandt-Verlag in Berlin-Zehlendorf und gab grossformatige Mappenwerke zu aktueller Kunst heraus (etwa Corinth, Kubin, Liebermann oder Zille). Zu den ersten Kunstbüchern gehörte ein Band mit dem Titel "Die Zeichner des Volks", der die Arbeit von Kollwitz und Zille zum Thema hatte. Er stand in Kontakt mit vielen Kunstschaffenden der Zeit
