The etching on imperial Japan, in perfect condition with wide margins. The book in softcover, the book block within the binding broken twice

Comments

The etching loosely enclosed in the special edition of the book by Will Grohmann. The publication was originally planned for 1929, but it did not appear until 1933. The edition of the etching was 45 copies on various papers, all of which originally accompanied a book and were numbered in the book. The books numbered 1 - 6 were accompanied not only by the etching but also by a gouache, and books 7 - 13 by a drawing. Unfortunately, the drawing is missing from the present book number 8

Erläuterungen

Die Radierung lose beigelegt in die Vorzugsausgabe des Buches von Will Grohmann. Die Publikation war ursprünglich für 1929 vorgesehen, sie erschien aber erst 1933. Die Auflage der Radierung betrug 45 Exemplare auf verschiedenen Papieren, alle lagen ursprünglich einem Buch bei und waren im Buch nummeriert. Den Büchern mit den Nummern 1 - 6 lag ausser der Radierung noch eine Gouache bei, den Büchern 7 - 13 noch eine Zeichnung. Leider fehlt die Zeichnung im vorliegenden Buch Nummer 8
