On Japan, perfectly fresh in colour, strongly struck through in the colours. Corners with holes due to tearing, in places with small foxing spots. Adhesive tape around the margins on the back, with traces of an old mounting in the upper corners. In very good condition
The present watercolour is particularly rich in colour and has a rarely large format. The work was probably created during the artist's trip to the South Seas in 1913-1914 and depicts tropical hibiscus blossoms

Auf Japan, vollkommen farbfrisch, in den Farben stark durchgeschlagen. In den Ecken mit Reissnagellöchern, stellenweise mit kleinen Stockflecken. Rückseitig umlaufend randseitiges Klebeband, in den oberen Ecken mit Spuren einer alten Montage. In sehr guter Erhaltung
Das vorliegende Aquarell ist besonders farbintensiv und weist ein selten grosses Format auf. Die Arbeit dürfte auf der Südsee-Reise des Künstlers in den Jahren 1913-1914 entstanden sein und stellt tropische Hibiskusblüten dar
