On wove paper (papier vélin) with watermark "Canson & Montgolfier". Left margin with missing parts and at upper margin centre with small hole, at lower margin with small tear. With slight creases and foxing
Alberto Giacometti drew the present nude analytically and divided it into a spatial structure with lines and planes. The organic curves of the body are split into geometric planes so that the body mass appears crystalline and the figure almost abstract. Giacometti was concerned with identifying the confrontation with dimensions and proportions of a figure standing in space (from: Monique Meyer, Alberto Giacometti, Zeichnungen und Aquarelle, Das Legat Bruno Giacometti, Kunsthaus Zürich, 2014, pag. 10-11)
