Leiden 1606 - 1669 Amsterdam
1645
Etching
15,7x13 cm, plate mark - 16,6x13,8 cm, sheet size
The New Hollstein (Hinterding/Rutgers) 224/I (of II)
White/Boon 34
Splendid early printing, with rough platemark and some plate tone, immaculate in condition and with about 2 to 3 mm paper margin. So nice rare
The same plate size as New Hollstein 295, 224 and 287 leads to the assumption that Rembrandt wanted to illustrate the "Geschichte Isaak" as a sequence, although the time span between the creation of the first plate of the 3 depictions and the last sheet is 11 years

The New Hollstein (Hinterding/Rutgers) 224/I (v. II)
White/Boon 34
So schön selten
