On thin, brown wrapping paper, in the corners with pinholes. Paper slightly wavy at margins, traces of old mounting at the back. In fresh colours and in impeccable overall condition.
Poliakoff is considered one of the main representatives of the École de Paris. His colour surfaces, which are delineated against each other in his works, became an important contribution to art history. From the 1950s onwards, he successively expanded his colour spectrum, creating expressive paintings and gouaches, such as the work offered here.

Poliakoff gilt als einer der Hauptvertreter der École de Paris. Seine in den Werken gegeneinander abgegrenzten Farbflächen wurden zu einem wichtigen Beitrag für die Kunstgeschichte. Ab den 1950er Jahren erweitere er sukzessive sein Farbspektrum, entstanden sind ausdrucksstarke Gemälde und Gouachen, wie die hier angebotene Arbeit
