Condition

On copperplate printing paper, perfect impression and condition. Minimal light margins, laid down on backing at the top, with the number "245" written by the artist at the bottom, originally probably the number for Schiefler's catalogue raisonné.

Comments

One of the huts on the Stafelalp is depicted, with 4 people in front of the building. Of greatest rarity, the only known copy of the I. state by Gercken, reworked in ink brush in view of the additions for the II. state. Also of the II. state only 2 copies have become known

Dargestellt ist eine der Hütten auf der Stafelalp, mit 4 Personen vor dem Gebäude. Von grösster Seltenheit, das von Gercken einzig bekannt gewordene Exemplar des I. Zustandes, in Tuschpinsel in Hinblick auf die Überarbeitung im II. Zustand überarbeitet. Auch vom II. Zustand sind nur 2 Exemplare bekannt geworden
