Beautiful impression, perfect fresh colours, on strong wove paper (papier vélin), with parts of the watermark "ARCHES" at lower margin

There are two editions of this linocut, the first printed from a linocut plate in two colours (black and beige) (see Cat. 483, Part II) and the second edition of 2 plates in 7 colours and 8 passes. The frame was added in a further printing process, this was used in 4 other sheets. One of the prints for artists and publishers

Erläuterungen

Von diesem Linolschnitt gibt es zwei Auflagen, die erste von einer Linolplatte in zwei Farben (Schwarz und Beige) gedruckt (siehe Kat. 483, Teil II) und die zweite Auflage von 2 Platten in 7 Farben und 8 Durchgängen.
