In perfect condition, in black-brown patina
Marini began his sculptural work mostly with human figures in all forms; it was not until 1936 that he created his first depiction of a horse with rider. Until the end of the 1940s, horses with and without rider appear again and again, both human and horse, mostly in full form. It was not until 1950 that horses with spread legs appeared and in 1951 there was a short phase of filiform horses, see catalogue raisonné nos. 351 to 365, all except no. 351 never published in an edition and only created in single copies. In tadelloser Erhaltung, in schwarzbrauner Patina
Marini begann sein skulpturales Schaffen meist mit menschlichen Gestalten in allen Formen, erst 1936 kommt seine erste Darstellung eines Pferdes mit Reiter. Bis Ende der vierziger Jahre kommen immer wieder Pferde mit und ohne Reiter vor, sowohl Menschen wie Pferde meist in fülliger Form. Erst ab 1950 kommen die Pferde mit gespreizten Beinen und im Jahre 1951 gibt es eine kurze Phase von filiformen Pferden, siehe Werkverzeichnis Nrn. 351 bis 365, alle ausser der
