Commentaires

A study by Édouard Vuillard for the lithograph "La flambée" from the famous series "La cuisine", created as an illustration for the cookbook of the same name by Henry Jean Laroche. The scenes offer an intimate insight into the kitchen and dining room of the Château des Clayes-sous-Bois, the country house of Jos Hessel, Vuillard's art dealer.

The star in the upper left corner of the sheet is likely a production code between the artist and the executing lithographer.

Eine Studie von Édouard Vuillard für die Lithografie "La flambée" aus der berühmten Serie "La cuisine", geschaffen als Illustration für das gleichnamige Kochbuch von Henry Jean Laroche. Die Szenen bieten einen intimen Einblick in die Küche und den Speisesaal des Château des Clayes-sous-Bois, dem Landhaus von Jos Hessel, Vuillards Kunsthändler.

Der Stern in der linken oberen Ecke des Blattes dürfte ein Herstellungscode zwischen Künstler und dem ausführenden Lithografen darstellen.
