With a few grip marks and a slight lightstruck area, as well as traces of old mounting on the reverse. A small spot each at the upper left and at the right sheet edge. In very good condition

Commentaires

The sheet comes from the 1892 series of six very popular mountain and glacier depictions. The authors of the catalogue raisonné know of only about twenty examples of this woodcut signed by the artist.

Mit wenigen Griffknicken und leichtem Lichtrand sowie rückseitig mit Spuren einer alten Montierung. Oben links und am rechten Blattrand mit je einem kleinen Fleck. In sehr guter Erhaltung

Erläuterungen

Das Blatt stammt aus der 1892 entstandenen Folge von sechs sehr beliebten Berg- und Gletscherdarstellungen. Den Autoren des Werkverzeichnisses sind nur ungefähr zwanzig vom Künstler signierte Exemplare dieses Holzschnittes bekannt.
